ut out several shapes (I used my Cricut of course!) in coordinating colored papers.
Each completed flower will require: two or three flower cut outs, a circle for the center and two copies of each letter (one is the shadow). |
ssemble the flowers on a big table before you glue anything. You'll want to reorganize them
100 times to get the colors just right! |
nce you have everything the way you want it, adhere all the pieces together. |
se sticky foam squares and pop adhesives to add dimension between the layers of petals. |
ith a hot glue gun, adhere the completed flower to the top of a toothpick. You will have to hold it there until it is almost dry. |
o the same for all the others... Look at how cute they are! |
ow just poke the toothpick into the cupcakes, being careful not to get it in the icing, and assemble them on a platter so you can read them! Of course you can always skip the letters and just to do cute flowers. I'm sure this technique will work with other designs too - if you use this idea, I'd love to see the finished project, be sure to share it on the Forum Page! |
